For my blog I decided to talk about: Next-generation tools, Video in the classroom and Strategies for using cameras with students.
Electronic are evident at all levels in education arena, and new and new presentation tool are emerging that gives teachers the ability to customize presentations in a way that more closely resembles new methods of learning and teaching. Many of these tools allow a teacher to take a student's question without disturbing the sequence of the overall presentation. E-readers for example; they are low-power and portable, design to display written materials in a digital format such as newspapers and books. Instead of having the regular text book, a teacher could ask his or her students to download the material and bring it to class, because the students can leave their books at home they will never leave their electronic devices at home.
Videos are widely used for classroom instruction because they offer ways to present information multimodally while redirecting the method of instructions from teacher to screen for part of the class. Using videos and films in the classroom are some easy ways a teacher could reach out to his or her students, not only because the students had been raise in a technology culture, they will also keep them interested, the student will have an unique learning experience and they will have an abundance of resources.
As children are learning the importance of reading, digital pictures allow teacher to create digital stories about daily routines, games, songs or student's environment. at early age, students start making connection between images and spoken and written words.
